INDUSTRYSCAPE – MEMORIA E PROGETTO NEL RECUPERO DEI MEGA IMPIANTI INDUSTRIALI
Monograph edited by Aracne, 2018

This book investigates running-on large-scale industrial facilities, focusing in particular on the ex-Ilva steel factory in Taranto, Italy.  The main aim of the research is to understand how the themes of Memory and Narrative can be used as planning instruments in order to regenerate derelict industrial areas. Part of this research has been conducted at the University Sapienza of Rome, during the PhD Programme in Architecture, and a part at the University of Liverpool, under the supervision of Dr Mark Riley. The publication analyses several industrial facilities recovered, identifying best practices and focusing on the topic of Storytelling as key device to develop projects for abandoned industrial areas.
